Know how to choose the right training points. If you have the right plan and practice the most important things, you can speak English like a pro in 3 months!

Speaking English doesn’t have to take years to become functional. If you have the right plan and practice the things that matter most, you can make significant progress in as little as 3 months. In this article, we’ll introduce you to a 3-month plan designed to help you improve your English for work, using only 15-30 minutes a day, and focusing on “good enough” practice to produce real-world results.

Month 1: Learn the basics and build confidence

Objective: Know the vocabulary and basic structures necessary for general communication.

1.1 Focus on 625 basic words :  Try using the app or AI to suggest frequently used words such as work, team, important, etc., while practicing 10 new words a day and making sentences such as:

    • This is an important project.”
    • “Our team is working hard.”

1.2 Practice creating basic sentences :  Learn to create declarative sentences, questions, and negative sentences, such as:

    • “I work in marketing.”
    • “Do you have time to meet?”
    • “I don’t understand this report.”

1.3 Start practicing listening and imitating sounds :  For example:

    • Listen to everyday conversations from AI or short videos.
    • Practice pronunciation to get used to the accent and rhythm.

1.4 Using AI to help simulate simple situations:  For example:

    • Introducing yourself: “Hello, I’m [name]. I work as a [position].”

Tip: Focus on practicing things that are relevant to your everyday life, such as speaking at work, ordering food, or introducing yourself.

Month 2: Practice speaking in work-related situations.

Objective: Learn vocabulary and sentences used in the workplace and practice conversations in real situations.

2.1 Focus on technical vocabulary :  Add vocabulary related to your work, such as meeting, presentation, outcome, and use it to create common sentences, such as:

    • “Let’s discuss the outcome of this project.”
    • “We have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow.”

2.2 Practice conversations in real situations :  We can use AI to simulate conversations. For example:

    • Meeting: “Could you share your thoughts on this?”
    • Presentation: “Today, I will be presenting our team’s progress.”

2.3 Improve pronunciation and speaking rhythm :  For example:

    • Use AI to check and provide suggestions on pronunciation.
    • Practice speaking with a natural rhythm.

2.4 Practice answering interactive questions :  For example:

    • Question: “What’s the deadline for this project?”
    • Answer: “The deadline is next Friday.”

Tip: Practice with AI or a conversation partner in real-world work situations, such as answering customer questions or presenting a project to a team.

Month 3: Using AI to boost confidence

Objective: Apply what you have learned to more complex situations and prepare for real-world use.

3.1 Practice complex situations with AI :  For example:

    • Negotiation: “Can we negotiate a better price for this service?”
    • Solution: “Let’s find a solution that works for everyone.”

3.2 Improve tone and fluency :  For example:

    • Use AI to analyze your tone and speaking speed to help you sound confident and professional.

3.3 Simulate challenging real situations :  For example:

    •  Q&A at the meeting: Question: “How can we improve the current process?” and Answer: “One way is to integrate more automation tools.”

3.4 Review and measure progress :  For example:

    • Using AI can help you measure your progress, such as increased vocabulary analysis, fluency in answering questions, or improved pronunciation.

3.5 Prepare for real-life language use :  For example:

    • Review common conversations used at work
    • Practice presenting or reporting results to colleagues or AI.

Tip: Practice by simulating situations you might encounter in the future, such as presenting a new project or answering questions from an international client.

The results you will see in 3 months

    • Speak English confidently in the workplace, such as in meetings, presentations and negotiations.
    • Be fluent in vocabulary and basic structures relevant to your work.
    • Ready for further development , such as learning a more complex language.

Case Study: From Zero to Team Leader in 3 Months

“Ms. Sumitra,” a planning officer at an international company in Asoke, has started practicing English using Generative AI like ChatGPT as planned in the next 3 months:

Month 1: She started by learning basic vocabulary and practicing everyday conversations.

Month 2: She practices speaking in work-related situations, such as giving reports and meetings.

Month 3: She simulated a project presentation with AI and improved her speaking confidence.

Ultimately, she was able to present her ideas professionally at international conferences.

    Conclusion

Adequate language practice can create real success.

This training plan is not about perfection, but about developing practical skills in a short period of time. With cutting-edge AI technology, you can make a difference in just 3 months!

I repeat, if you know how to choose the right training points, you can speak English like a pro in 3 months!
